Our Recommendations

Best places to live east London

Now, we may be biased here, hailing from East London ourselves, but we love East London! There are loads of great things to do and see in the area. It is a part of London that is steeped in rich culture and has gone through some dramatic facelifts over the years!

Canary Wharf

As we are based here it seems like the logical place to start! Canary Wharf emerges from the Isle of Dogs in the late 1980s and has been a recognisable area for business ever since. However, it does offer good living accommodation for those that can afford the price tag! As most of the buildings are high rise, Canary Wharf has been a target for the latest Build-To -Rent boom in the UK. Several companies have taken over buildings in this area and turned them into amazing living accommodations that offer loads of incredible amenities.

Most recently Canary Wharf has announced a partnership with The Eden Project in Cornwall to bring wildlife and greenery to the area. The installation will create a “green spine” through the docklands made up of parks and gardens, waterside access, bridges, boardwalks and floating pontoons.

These do come at a bit of a price tag but if you are someone that does not want to live alone and likes to get involved in activities and social events with like-minded people then it could be a good option for you

Tower Hamlets

Is it really one of the best places to live in East London? We think so! Tower Hamlets stretches from Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs, all the way out to Victoria Park. It sometimes gets a bad reputation but the residents here vary greatly in nationality and socioeconomic status and it is rich in culture. Tower Hamlets is home to the famous Brick Lane. Endless restaurants, street market, and stores offer Europe’s largest selection of Bengali cuisine, woodwork, carpets, and clothing. Property here is relatively cheaper than other places in London and it has good connections to Canary Wharf, Stratford and other East London attractions.

Where to Live in North London?

Camden

The one and only infamous Camden. When looking for somewhere to live in North London it cannot be overlooked. It is a borough with a rich culture and music scene. Camden Market is the fourth-largest tourist destination in London. Over 100,000 people visit each weekend. There are roughly 280 stalls and 54 establishments in the market. The Camden area, which is the second largest in London after Westminster, generates £1.2 billion in visitor spending and has a whopping 24,400 enterprises. If you are looking for somewhere bustling and vibrant or you love a night out with a live band or club night, Camden is where you want to be!
